Azimuth Academy is a prestigious institute for the arcane, providing a rigorous education for scholars of magic, practitioners of magic, and people of magic (an umbrella term for those whose existence is inextricable from magic, such as dragons, centaurs, unicorns, and gem people, to name a few). Thanks to generous endowments, the Academy supports learning and research at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate level. In its capacity as a high school, Azimuth Academy welcomes young talents of all genders from across the continent and beyond.

In Azimuth Academy, play as a high schooler at a magic boarding school renowned for its rigorous curriculum, its scholars' cutting-edge research, and  its student body's unparalleled capacity for chaos. Balance your coursework with clubs and sports and avoid incurring the wrath of the dorm monitors, one of whom is a literal dragon, while navigating a social scene consisting almost entirely of curious, gossipy overachievers. As for you yourself, thanks to SHIFT's rules-light TTRPG engine, you can be anyone or anything you want to be, whether that's a human strictly interested in magical theory, a sapient shadow obsessed with gardening, or a mermaid studying abroad on land to take advantage of the Academy's astronomical observatory.

The World Spark includes:

• Building blocks from the SHIFT system, including Academy-specific opportunities for gaining XP

Wait, What's SHIFT?

SHIFT is a rules-light system from Hit Point Press named for the way you can shift between different dice in your pool during gameplay depending on how you roll. Characters typically have three stats (Body, Mind, and Soul), along with at least two keyword-based Focus Traits that represent things they're good at. This makes Character creation quick and in-game abilities flexible, allowing players to shine across a variety of scenarios.
